Well it's been four and a half days now and still no beta key from Flagship. If I would've known that it was going to be like this, I wouldn't have pre-ordered so early. They could've at least let us stalk the forums!

Last week I started watching a new anime series called Claymore. A co-worker of mine suggested that I check it out and I'm really enjoying it so far. Chicks + Big Swords = GOOD! You really can't go wrong with that combination.

It's been awhile since I've been sick, but it has happened. Yesterday when we were driving back home, my throat felt irritated like I had choked on my water or something. Woke up at 2 am and felt this pain in my throat. It was like this dry patch, definitely wasn't a good feeling. Today it was just a sore throat, but now my nose is starting to stuff up as well. Anyways, on to some good news. I bought an iPOD over the weekend. Picked up an 8 gig iPOD nano from the Apple store. It's a lot thinner than I had expected. On the commercials, it seemed thicker because the edges look rounded. It was a nice surprise to see how small it was. It has really helped with my drive to and from work. Traffic isn't nearly as bad when you have some music to keep you entertained.

Chicago was a blast. Plenty of alcohol consumption, not a lot of sleep. It was fun meeting all of Liza's relatives. On Saturday night we met up with three of Liza's cousins from Houston to go clubbing. Her aunt was waiting for us at the club and she got us in for free, because her boyfriend is the bouncer for the VIP section. Just in case you were wondering, her aunt is in her 40s. When we left the club, exhausted at 3 am, she was still partying hard. That's pretty hardcore right there! On Monday morning, we were dropped off at the airport at 5 am. When we got up the desk, the clerk couldn't find our names so we showed her our itinerary. She pointed out that our flight was actually scheduled for the 4th, which was a Tuesday, not the 3rd! She got her supervisor and we were offered three first class tickets at an estimated $700 per ticket. It was a bit steep but we didn't have a choice. It was either that or drive straight to work from the airport on Tuesday. Luckily for us, after she had inputted our ticketing information, it only came out to $400 each. The first class seats were nice, but since it was domestic, it wasn't really that big but still a nice experience. Overall I think we all had a great time. It just seems that no matter where we fly to, something always seem to happen to us. I guess it makes for good stories later.

I saw this game a few weeks ago in PC Gamer. It's made by ex-blizzard guys that did Diablo. It's free to download and play! Anyways, I signed up for the beta and I received an email today informing me that I'd been accepted. Their homepage showed that they were going to allow more people in soon. I'm downloading the game as we speak and I'll post some feedback shortly!

So I've been watching this anime series called Samurai Deeper Kyo on a movie channel called Encore, which is part of the Starz network. The series is pretty decent, other than the fact that it's dubbed. They've been showing 3 episodes a night, starting at midnights on Mondays through Fridays. Tonight, they were on the last two episodes, 25 and 26. Well after episode 25 was over, a totally different show came on. I was like, WTF!? I scroll through the guide to see if it's on tomorrow night and it's not. I check Monday and it's a new anime series. So I sat through 2 weeks of horrible dubbing and I don't even get to see what happens at the end! Screw you Starz network, screw you!

So I just finished watching Transformers and let me just say that it was fuckin' spectacular! It was really funny, the action was awesome, and it's fuckin' Autobots and Decepticons! It's too bad the movie has gotten such bad reviews, because I felt that it was entertaining. Over the top? Probably, but who cares?! I was skeptical at first, because of what I had read, but I enjoyed every minute of this movie. If it weren't for my friends, I probably wouldn't have even seen it. I'm glad I did though.

Got back from Vegas earlier tonight and it was a blast. Vegas was hot and I don't mean the weather! Actually it was 107 degrees on Friday and 112 degrees on Saturday. The trip was definitely exciting. It started off with us missing our flight, then was put on standby. The flight we were waiting for was delayed, twice. The trip ended with me passing out from pain on the bathroom floor of our hotel room. That, of course, scared the shit out of my girlfriend, but I assured her that I was ok after I came to. Anyways, Vegas is always fun, no matter what happens! Oh and after we got back, we went and got ramen.

Haven't posted in a few days, but don't worry, I'm still here! Not that I have that many people reading my journal anyways XD. I'm trying to join a few communities to liven up this place. I figure if I have more things to read, it may help with my insomnia (I miss sleep). Anyways, I started watching a new anime series called Shakugan no Shana. It's kind of interesting how I stumbled upon that series actually. I was looking for a new wallpaper for my desktop and found one that I really liked. Intrigued by the character, I did a little research and found the name of the series. So far, it's pretty good. The first episode was a bit confusing since they sort of just throw you into it without much explanation. The fight scenes are also decent, but what I really enjoy is the artistic style of the characters. That's usually what draws my attention first and then the storyline keeps me watching.

Here's the wallpaper that I'm currently using:
